Since their inception the Nairobi Trio Band has become New Zealand’s favourite jazz entertainers, touring regularly throughout the world, appearing at major festivals in New Zealand, the UK, Europe, Australia and Asia.

Now the Nairobi Trio are more passionate about their music than ever. They have released a total of seven albums together.

Their performance is contagious, expressive, and much of it spontaneously improvised. The program includes a selection of jazz standards re-worked by the group, however Nairobi Trio are perhaps best known for their skillfully crafted original pieces, many of which evoke images of New Zealand’s geographic beauty and cultural diversity.

Nairobi Trio offers live musical services as an acoustic Duo, Trio, a concert Quartet or an electric Dance-band.

Duo / Trio / Quartet
The Acoustic “unplugged” sound of the Nairobi Trio is ideal for pre-dinner cocktails. The band is completely mobile, able to wander among the guests without being to intrusive.
For larger functions the group provides amplification.

The Electric Band
A top quality dance-band. Electric violin, electric guitar/keyboards, bass, and drums including 4 vocalists (one of whom also plays a mean sax.) The Repertoire focuses on the dance floor, featuring classic hits from the ’30’s to the ’90’s – something for everyone. Ideal for later on in the night to get the party rockin’.
