Bring In The Band is one of Auckland’s top cover dance bands providing live music for corporate functions, weddings, fundraising events, and private parties for any occasion. From soft background dinner sets through to energetic rock’n’roll to get the crowd on their feet, they will lift the roof with their energetic party sets!

Musician and Band Manager John Blackburn is a seasoned professional with over 20 years working as a session player both live and in the studio. Playing his first gig at the Marquee Club in Lon…don’s Soho at the age of 15, he has toured with artists such as Skin (Skunk Anansie) and Joe Strummer (The Clash). John, known for the bass, also plays piano, drums, guitar, plus sings lead vocals.

Since moving to New Zealand, John has been lucky to meet some of Auckland’s finest musicians and they are picked accordingly to the style of your event: be it a two-piece acoustic duo to a full six-piece band, we cover every possible genre from traditional Irish music, 50s to modern, Jazz to Reggae, Tributes, Punk to Funk, plus everything in between.
