Tom Sharplin has long been one of the most popular live entertainers in New Zealand.
Tom started singing in 1967 with a Tauranga Rock Band called the “The Arms and Legs”
Tom and his group won the ‘NZ Group of the Year” in 1980. They have continued to pack entertainment venues around the country and overseas. Tom has performed two Royal Command performances, he has just finished a nationwide tour with another in the New Year. Tom has worked alongside all of the big names in NZ entertainment

Tom Sharplin is a household name in NZ and over the years Tom has appeared on national television many times, on most entertainment shows throughout his career. He has won many awards, including The Benny Award. Tom is presently and has been for the last 8 years President of the New Zealand Variety Artists Club.
His show is a nostalgic adventure in to the enjoyment of good music. Based around the Rock and Roll standards of the 50 & 60’s with a bit of Queen and Pearl Jam thrown onto the mix. His most recent CD release in 2009 “We’ll Sing in the Sunshine” stayed on the NZ charts for over 6 weeks.
Tom is also an award winning public speaker and his interesting life enables him to entertain and motivate others. Helping others has always been important to Tom and he has just completed his 20th ‘Variety Bash’ raising money for sick and underprivileged children.
